Wisconsin Public Service (WPS) employees care deeply about the communities where they live and serve. That’s why this summer, employees chose to donate $5,000 to Never Forgotten Honor Flight.

The donation is part of the WPS Safety Charity Challenge, a companywide program to encourage employees to live and work safely while positively impacting their local communities. Employees have the opportunity to direct a contribution from the WPS Foundation toward one of several charities at the end of each quarter when safety goals are met.

This summer, WPS employees chose to donate to Never Forgotten Honor Flight after meeting their safety goals in the first quarter. Based out of Wausau, Never Forgotten Honor Flight flies armed forces veterans from central and northern Wisconsin to Washington, D.C. for an all-expenses-paid trip to see the memorials and landmarks built in their honor. Never Forgotten Honor Flight has flown more than 5,000 World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veterans to Washington, D.C. since 2009.

Never Forgotten Honor Flight is one of hundreds of nonprofit organizations WPS and the WPS Foundation are proud to support every year.
