Wisconsin Public Service (WPS) employees care deeply about the communities where they live and serve. That’s why this fall, employees chose to donate $5,000 to Make-A-Wish Wisconsin.

The donation is part of the WPS Safety Charity Challenge, a companywide program to encourage employees to live and work safely while positively impacting their local communities. Employees have the opportunity to direct a contribution from the WPS Foundation toward one of several charities at the end of each quarter when safety goals are met.

This fall, they selected Make-a-Wish Wisconsin, a nonprofit organization that creates remarkable experiences, or “wishes,” for children diagnosed with critical illnesses. Make-A-Wish Wisconsin’s work has helped make dreams of all kinds come true, from going fishing on a boat to bringing home a new puppy to an unforgettable trip to Hawaii. Since Make-A-Wish Wisconsin was formed, it has granted more than 8,800 wishes to children across the state.

Make-A-Wish Wisconsin is one of hundreds of nonprofit organizations WPS and the WPS Foundation are proud to support every year.
