Wisconsin Public Service (WPS) crews and an army of workers from across the Midwest have restored power to over 120,000 customers affected by this week’s strong winter storm.

Extensive damage caused by fallen trees and broken poles has extended the outage for customers in some areas.

WPS expects the remaining impacted customers will have power restored by Sunday.

More than 500 men and women are working around the clock to get power turned back on.

Crews have completed repairs to main circuits damaged by the storm, and are now focused on individual outages. This type of damage takes time to repair — an outage may affect a few hundred customers, while another affects only a small group of customers.

Customers without power can receive the latest information on their outage on the WPS app or online outage map.

We sincerely appreciate and thank customers for their patience as WPS continues to work as quickly and safely as possible to restore power.
