Wisconsin Public Service (WPS) and We Energies completed storm restoration efforts on Sunday, June 19 for all customers who lost power after tornadoes and high winds tore across Wisconsin June 15.
Hundreds of utility workers from Wisconsin and the Midwest worked around the clock to restore power to more than 175,000 WPS and We Energies customers. A majority of customers were restored within a day, but extensive damage in Green Bay and the Fox Valley created an extended restoration time as crews had to replace snapped power poles and rebuild electric circuits.
Customers across the area shared thanks and kind words for the the men and women in the field who worked tirelessly to get the lights back on.
