The Wisconsin Public Service (WPS) Foundation is supporting area students as they head back into the classroom. The foundation is awarding a total of $25,000 to 14 first-time college students through its annual technical college scholarship program.
The WPS Foundation’s technical college scholarships are part of its commitment to enhance educational opportunities for students throughout northeast and north-central Wisconsin. The funding is providing full-year scholarships to this year’s recipients, helping them to continue developing skills in fields such as automotive and heavy equipment maintenance, electric power distribution, engineering technology, and marketing.
Helping students develop crucial skills
The 2025 scholarship recipients include:

- Bryce Dhuey (Luxemburg)
- Wren Kunesh (Kewaunee)
- Jackson Mikulsky (Pulaski)
- Teri Payette (Coleman)
- Addison Schmude (De Pere)
- William Schoenwalder (Wrightstown)
- Tyler Strebel (Green Bay)
- Mattaeo Thiry (De Pere)
- Jack Ward (Green Bay)
- Nathan Wesely (Kewaunee)
- Nolan Zeitler (Coleman)
Since the program began, the WPS Foundation’s technical college scholarships have helped thousands of students, including 16 people who graduated and are current WPS employees.
Including this year’s scholarships, the WPS Foundation has donated more than $6 million through all of its scholarship programs to assist students in Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
The WPS Foundation’s technical college scholarship program helps area students continue their education at technical schools in northeast and north-central Wisconsin. Students can receive a scholarship to help them complete a one-year technical diploma or two-year associate degree program.
